Mental health is how people think, act and cope with life and the stressors and challenges that are part of the human experience. The state of one’s mental health can influence the ways in which they look at themselves, their life and others around them. It also strongly influences an individual's potential for achieving their goals and is an important tool in obtaining and maintaining a feeling of well-being.

Resilience is the ability to adapt well to stress, adversity, trauma or tragedy. It is the ability to remain stable and maintain healthy levels of psychological and physical functioning in the face of disruption or chaos.

When one does not have this ability at the moment to recover quickly from depression or discouragement, or cannot find the ability to harness inner strengths and rebound more quickly from a setback or challenge, they may need some guidance. To develop this strength to not dwell on problems, feel victimized, become overwhelmed and turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms, I am here to help you with such matters. Resilience will not necessarily make problems go away but it may give one the ability to see past them, find some enjoyment in life and handle future stressors more effectively.
