Let's be real, there is a lot to be angry about right now. Drastic changes in our lives came unwanted and unexpectedly. The way our lives have been disrupted feels unfair, which causes frustration. In my house, we are often saying, "nothing comes easy these days." Even simple tasks like going to the grocery store has become stressful and feels borderline creepy. Nothing seems to work the same, and everything is different. The "new normal" is hard and far from ideal.
The past few weeks have been like no other! "Unprecedented" is a quite often, and possibly overused description. The reality of what has transpired is mind boggling and somewhat hard to comprehend. I don't think anyone predicted such drastic changes to come so quickly. These adjustments, coupled with the reality of the pandemic itself, might leave you feeling out of sorts. You may lose track of what day it is and don't quite know how to best use your time. You are likely grieving the loss of normalcy and have fears about your health and your loved ones.

We have relationships of all kinds- partners or spouses, children, friends, parents, family members, bosses, co-workers, etc. Each relationship has its ups and downs. Sometimes we instinctively know how to manage the difficulties and sometimes we don’t have a clue. We can get caught in a cycle that is destructive or frustrating. It is even possible that your well-intended attempts to better the relationship may actually be contributing to the problems you are having! If you are struggling with a personal relationship it may be helpful to seek individual counseling.
